  • Very Good, But Missing Something

The only reason I didn't give it 4-5 stars is that it didn't have photos of the caterpillars along with the butterflies, so we could identify both. But for just butterflies, it's a great book. Lovely photos and good descriptions and explanations. I appreciate that it's focused on the PNW, so I don't have to sort through butterflies that we'll likely never see here.

Beautifully illustrated, excellent content representing a lifetime of work and layout is suberb! Because the area covered is limited each species is given adequate space making this field guide easy to read and enjoy.

  • good purchase for content

The damaged cover was disappointing, otherwise a good purchase for content... which is the important part. As expected, certainly not better than expected.
