Grass Planter 2.0 Pros and Cons
While a bit pricy it's a good idea providing drainage to reduce mold, artificial soil to eliminate bug hatching in potting soils and having the grass grow up through a grid so the animals can't dig in the dirt. The broad base prevents tipping and the rubber ring helps keep it in place. The problem is a total lack of instructions and/or advice. How much water should be added initially and how much and how often for best results. One would assume the entire packages of seed and soil are to be emptied into the planter. No advice on where to put the seed in relationship to the soil, on the bottom, top mixed in? In the two I purchased so much seed sprouted they raised the grid off the planter, getting it down is like putting tooth paste back in the tube. Cats seem to like it.
