Reviews"Both Knox and Selena, at different moments of their lives, chose to merely exist and forgot how to be happy; and the author's insightful observations on this topic made THE RANCHER'S BABY a very compelling read from an emotional point of view." -Fresh Fiction "The Rancher's Baby is not a lighthearted romance but a compelling one, and the happy ending (and epilogue) that Knox and Selena share makes it worth the read." -HarlequinJunkie "This is a great start to Yates' new Texas Cattleman's Club: The Impostor series. Haven't read many books by this author. This one was good. Selena and Knox had been friends forever as adults. She wanted the money in her trust fund but had to be married to get it. She married Will because he was willing to help her out. She wanted to start her own business and be independent of her father. He was abusive to her and her mother. Selena and Will never consummated the marriage. Their relationship was not one of love. She loved Knox but he married Cassandra and at that time she did not want a real husband or family. Will and Selena eventually divorced. Will disappeared and all thought he was dead. He reappeared at his own funeral. Selena received a letter about Will's estate. She came to Will's funeral and saw his reappearance. She also ran into Knox there. Knox did not believe Selena should be alone after Will's funeral. Knox took her to her cabin and stayed with her. Knox had his own demons to deal with. He had lost his daughter to cancer and could not handle it. He could not get past her death. He and Cassandra drifted apart and divorced. Knox again needed Selena to hold on to. She had been at Eleanor's funeral for him. That was several years ago but Knox was still dealing with her death. Highly recommended book
