Better than expected!
Bought as an emergency replacement for my old el cheapo Braun hand blender, and 500W Tefal jug blender which both decided to self- destruct in the same week. The savisto is larger than expected, and much heavier too indicating that there should be some serious 'oomph' to it when working. So far used for my morning smoothie, and makes short work of blending in the oats contained therein. Continuously variable power using dial on top of unit. Which is nice....Using the chopper attachment to chop onions, i found out that the blade is indeed sharp, (as stated in the destructions booklet) by nicking my thumb. Bleeding 'ell - there was claret everywhere! Once assembled and thumb cleaned, the blender pretty much turned my roughly chopped onion (but thankfully not my thumb) into puree in about 5 seconds, so next time I'll do this on a lower power. It can be slightly tricky to separate the stainless steel stick from the motor unit, but at least the locking action is solid and shouldn't break, although perhaps this function might get easier the more the blender is used. I have no idea why this was the price it was. Looking around I'm seeing it on sale at 60-70 quid, so i have no idea why I was able to pay only a third of that. The item was new, although the box's seal had been pulled back, so maybe it was a return? Anyway, I'm not complaining.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Must Have This
This item is probably the 3rd or 4th hand blender I have had and the strongest so far.
