Better than some
I'm using this with ES Music Player and VLC on a Note 3 (aptX certified).
Pro: Doesn't have feedback hum at regular volume levels meaning FM and BT circuitry are properly -isolated- from each other, whatever that means. I had a previous device that hummed through the car speakers after a couple of minutes. I could get it to stop by changing the FM channel, but then after another couple of minutes it would hum again: Most likely PLL FM output feeding back into BT input.
Cons: Sometimes sounds like Covenant Elites -Blaart blaart- caused by BT buffer overloaded trying to catch up instead of just dropping packets.
Probably needs a better quality CSR BT chip -maybe one with aptX-.
There is DEFINITELY a need for this kind of device given that these days aftermarket car stereos can't dim with your car's dimmer control anymore: Why not? I don't know.
Please fix the BT buffer overload, and maybe add aptX to it?
