great addition to my layout
Out of the box it has all the features that I was expecting It has two knobs in the box that locate into one side that allow you to operate the crane functions by hand. One for the elevation and the other for the vertical movement of the hook. the end hook is fixed and has no vertical movement When on the track it runs well and smooth and doesn't put and strain on the loco. It is a good weight so it won't tip over when the arm is fully extended at right angles to the boogie. It is well detailed too, so closeup it looks pretty good. As models go It is as functional as you would want it to be, but automatic and motorised, it is not. In other words, set it up and leave it in a static pose, or play with it as you want. It is strong enough to withstand general play. It is like the red one of the same make but yellow and I feel it stands out better in an industrial layout than the red one.
