    Kestrel kits, some excess flash had to be removed as did the substantial sprues.

    The Church's long walls were not flat and as there is no floor or internal frame to keep them straight a bracing structure had to be scratch from some spare plastic sheet so that the walls now stay straight. The by windows were split in two on one ofteh four mouldings , tehse are approximately 1m wide glazing bars where the split had taken place and that made fitting the split window awkward. The dormer roof structures on the semi detached house have no locations moulded into the roof on which they sit and so are very fiddly to get right. I note that Faller mould the roof structures in their kits all in one piece so the bit that is most prominent on the finished model looks the part. No instructions either in the kit or on line left me to figure out how to construct the porches. Not by any means a cheap kit, it uses the same box as the station building kit with only a tiny photo on a label to show what the finished product should look like. Sold under the excellent Gaugemaster name this kit does not meet their usual quality standards.
