Hated the 'one-knob does all'
Slacken one kob and the thing falls apart on you, everything changes position. I know that some machinists like these, but not for me. Like most 'tools' of Chinese origin, they lack attention to detail and can often be greatly improved by a little reworking.. The base on my sample was not machined true so it would rock when locked onto a true flat surface, which also impaired the holding power. Once machined true (they are soft steel) the holding power was greatly improved and so was the reliability of measurement.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This stand is excellent quality for price. I am building motorcycle wheels with new spokes and testing runout with this stand and gauge and find it excellent to work with.
