I was really impressed with the quality of it. It has been very handy for my husband to use getting in & out of the car. The only bad thing is that you have to take it out to shut the car door & put back in when you need it again. But all & all I'm very pleased with the product. Poor design
First let me say that the seller was great and offered to let me return the item, however, return shipping would have cost nearly as much as I paid for the item. This car cane design only allows you to use it while it's facing forward which means it blocks you from getting in or out of the car unless you are a small person. The flashlight part of the item prevents you from turning the handle outward which would allow proper ingress/egress. There are other similar items on the market that do allow this - one of which I purchased after first buying this one, and it works great. Secondly, although the exposed metal part of this looks substantial, the metal that extends into the handle is not nearly so. It is spindly and isn't something I feel comfortable trusting to hold my 200 lb body weight. Also, it doesn't extend all the way through the plastic handle. In summary, I found this to be a poorly made and poorly designed example of a great idea. I found a different one that is much more substantial, for a few dollars more, that I am very happy with. It doesn't have the belt cutter or the flashlight that this one has, but it works well for it's designed purpose. I hope by reading this you learn from my mistake.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

My knees like it!

Does not work with all cars . . .
The loop that you are supposed to plug the car cane into on the B post is actually on the end of the door on my 2014 Cadillac ELR. So for this car, the car cane is useless. My wife keeps it in her purse for when she rides with friends whose cars are compatible.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

enter and exit your car with confidence
This product is amazing, I think everyone should have one. In fact, I think it should be standard equipment for all cars. I initially bought this for a friend who is 90 and has difficulty getting in and out of a car. She now can do so with ease and has no fear of falling. I like it so much that I bought one for myself and keep in my glove compartment just to have it available if the need were to arise. NOT recommended!
The metal end fell out of the handle when I unpacked it. It is NOT made well. It is NOT good quality. The flashlight did NOT light. I do NOT recommend THIS product. Like the thought, but
It looked like a good idea and helps a lot but no way it can be used , not place to leave it or store it. Once u use it to get out, then what? Ur up and out of car, now what.
