Replaced my old Kidde smoke ( in line) ) alarms with this unit, just as I expected from Kidde the units are high quality and hard wiring them was a breeze, I installed eight of them throughout my home within the hour then tested ( blew out a candle then let the smoke linger below a unit) they all sounded off together and the job was done, I really enjoy the new design with front loading battery access ,Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Front load battery Smoke Detector
I have hard-wired smoke detectors that are falling off the ceiling... the old prongs that’s hold the covers to replace the back-up battery has given out... these are easy to replace and will not have this same issue since battery compartment opens on the front. Replaced 2 old Firex smoke alarms in my home because they were too old. Works with AC and Battery so if there is a power outage, then the smoke alarm will still work.
