    Decent quality Lift

Generally pleased with the lift. Well packaged (sturdy plywood box). Easily assembled, one man operation, though care needed as lift heavy. Well made, excellent paintwork, worked as required immediately. Only problem is getting bike onto lift and onto centre stand. With the front wheel as far onto the lift as it will go the rear wheel is still on the loading ramp. As the latter is sloping downwards, the space for the centre stand to go over centre is far too small. I had to make a wooden addition to go on top of the loading ramp to raise the rear wheel sufficiently to allow the centre stand to work (then pulled out wood ramp). I don't see how this ramp could work with a paddock style rear stand. When the loading ramp is removed the bikes rear wheel extends quite a way beyond the end of the lift. Loading would be a lot easier with two people. Notwithstanding, it's great to have the bike at a comfortable working height!

    Cheap Bike Lift

I was very disappointed with the build quality or I may have just got the last job on Friday model. If you're looking for a lift I would, given a second opportunity, consider getting one a bit longer as well as wider. The blurb does say for bikes with a Centre Stand, but even with one it's a bit hit and miss and awkward to stand it up whilst your balancing on the edge. Having a metal deck and a metal stand aren't really compatible when it comes to friction assisting the process. As you rock the bike back to get it on the stand the front wheel clamp mechanism does not align perfectly and if you're not careful the stand ends up on the sloping bit so not great for your confidence that the bike will stay put! It does lift up and lower albeit again via an odd design with the pedal positioned above the one to lower it. The assembly details are very poor as you have to guess what to do with the bits and how the wheels fit. I think the wheels should be fixed on the main frame and the extension bits should have had the adjustable feet to aid stability, but that's just my opinion of course! Note the wheel extension bits can't be pinned back in to keep them out of the way? Maybe if Sealey sent out some clear illustrations and info as to what's required to set it all up correctly it may show that I've got something wrong? Don't forget to get some tie downs to ensure the bike stays put. I also use a strap around the front wheel just in case! May you do get what you pay for and I should have gone for bigger and better ??

  • Kind to the knees & back

Big mistake, I should have bought it years ago, working on my bike is very much easier, it's well built and gives me confidence to use it

  • Seriously an asset , a good buy!

Because as I am 67 years old , I find I am no longer able to sit crouching on my knees for any appreciable length of time, and it's so good to have the bike at a height where I can work easily.

  • quality is fine

the only down side is that its not long enough and needed extra support to be able to work on a bike, we had to adapt it for restoration use.

  • Its ok

Needs more tie down loops .so you can remove both wheels at the same time. Ramp fixing .make the ramp drop dowm a bit.beef it up

  • Good value

Lift is well made, shorter and narrower then others but that is what I wanted. I have limited space in my garage. I gave it 4 stars because the ramp didn't touch the floor. I had to remove some metal until it did. Easy job to do.

  • Good bit of kit but the bolt kit is a let down.

Good bit of kit but the bolt kit is a let down. Should have been stainless bolt kit.
