Nice bang for buck
Rifle looks, weighs, and has tactile feel of a real SBR. Safety, bolt release, mag release, and trigger are all functional and mirror a true AR. Flip up sights are cheap—but they were spot on out of the box. Accuracy is decent for a BB gun (probably better than most). Automatic function is flawless and extremely fun. For AR training, this is an economical and realistic platform you can use in your back yard.
My only complaints all surround magazine capacity, magazine build design, and the BB loader. The design and build quality are far lower than the rest of the rifle.
The magazine only holds 25 BBs. In full auto, that is just over 3 seconds. Would be better if it held 50 BBs. The magazine holds two CO2 cartridges and has a cast zinc inner structure, covered with a thin plastic shell and a removable panel to access CO2 cylinders. That panel is finicky to remove and install. It is also the base of the magazine. It doesn’t appear to be reinforced plastic and if you drop it once, it’s game over. If you try and use the bottom of the magazine as a support rest, that side panel easily pops open. My last complaint is the auto loader. The loader is made from cheap plastic and jams continuously. The plunger shaft is constructed so light weight, it feels like it’s going to break, even when it’s not jammed.
Overall, the rifle has a great feel and functionality. Put a red dot on it and practice steel challenge matches, or plink and varsity control. Hopefully, the manufacturer will modify the reloader and magazine design—or an aftermarket solution. Either way, it’s not a deal breaker. Get one, and have some fun.
