Excellent paint that covers extremely well ..and then features a rather clever twist.
Excellent paint. I bought brilliant white to paint the top of a 20ft x 8ft wide shipping container that is a strong Royal Blue in colour. According to specs I ought to have needed 2.4 ltr for a flat surface of that area and this metal roof has corrugation. I was fine with a thin coat because it's simply to reflect sunlight, so as to help keep the inside of the container cooler. I washed off the dusty surface and wiped it dry and then used a medium-length-hair 4" roller. I applied it (in one coat) just thick enough to cover (opacity) 95% to 100% of the darkish blue paint on it. By the end I still had 2" of paint in the pot, ample for touching-in where I had skimped a little or where the roller slipped down a corrugation. But this paint seems to feature a clever twist, insomuch as when I opened the can I was disappointed that even when well-stirred it had a slightly green tinge. Still I needed to get on, so I first painted around the outside edge of the container's roof before painting in the middle. By half way down the container's length I could see that the outside edge paint was drying to a brilliant white, and the paint I was applying (in bright but hazy sunlight and 27 degrees c temperatures) look cream. Well that helped lessen the reflective glare while painting and it's a great aid to highlight (until it also dries) where you've applied a second coat. What's a great feature.! Drying time, even on this hot-tin-roof wasn't as quick as I had expected, but again from my perspective that just helps keep a wet edge. I would recommend two thin coats rather than a single thick coat which may run. I'm very pleased with the opacity and ease of application, the final brightness, and the smooth gloss of this paint. Misleading
I bought this a month ago ready to decorate, started using it yesterday and it’s like a Matt emulsion! No high gloss at all! Didn’t even need turps it’s water based (small writing on tin) so washed brushes in soapy water.
