Nice Processor. Can be boosted to 3.8ghz+ using XMP (Make sure you have a good cooler)
Good price for a nice processor. 9th gen is slightly better for prices, but this is still good for z370 mobos. installation was easy as always, and temps hold well.

Great value for money, been well soak tested.
Originally wanted to upgrade to a 9400 for compatibility with Windows 11 but had so much grief with motherboard bios and dead processors, etc that I opted instead for a pre-loved 8400. Fitting was simplicity itself, worked first time, no messing and the spec and performance is only marginally less than a new 9400. Although there is always aa possibility that the previous owner may have cooked it knowing that it came from a working machine was important on this occasion.
