It says all it needs to.
I'm from an engineering background using this type of product all the time and this one is as good as the more recognised names. I'm now a part time cycle refurbisher so this dial gauge will get a lot of use. The dial gauge itself is very smooth running and the magnet strong enough not to move. Accurate. Inexpensive.
At this price, for a piece of equipment not used often. It was amazing. Set up firmly it appears to be very accurate. Used to check "run out" on new and used brake discs. At this price I would recommend to car enthusiasts ( brakes, hubs, drive shafts, anything that revolves. Should have got one year's ago, but they were expensive for infrequent use.. Dial indicator and stand
1/ Magnetic stand - This is a simply constructed magnetic base stand with round bar supports for the dial gauge. It is an engineering tool, reasonably robust and appears to be well made and sufficiently rigid to provide a good stable platform for accurate measurement stability. 2/The dial gauge is a simple, smooth action, gear driven dial indicator providing a working range of around 10mm. The one provided actually gave a total range of slightly in excess of 12 mm. resetting the dial is easy, and the small internal dial returned to zero without any problems. The two items together resulted in a very useful precision too, simple to use. Remember ,however, this relies on the ability for the magnet to be securely attached to a solid magnetic base of some thickness to give a secure fitting.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
