Great quality iron at an economical cost. Gets or quicky and is well capable of tackling heavier soldering applications such as soldering components to casings or heatsinks when a standard iron will not have the power to achieve results. It's a nice solid design and the cable and plus is good quality. It has many uses including soldering big lugs and terminals or joining large copper cables. If you are after bang for buck this is the iron to buy, there are other brands selling this exact same iron for more money. Comes with Silverline warranty too. A good buy all round and has already earned its money for me.

Hi, I bought this for soldering a stained glass window, and it has done the job very well. It has no temperature control and can get too hot so you have to be careful and switch off at first signs of overheating. It's a low priced item with low delivery cost and does the job.

I bought this as I needed to desolder a 600 watt Thermalake PSu cables and the heat sink was stopping all my usual soldering irons from getting enough heat to allow that to happen this Iron from Silver line made it easy it got the solder hot enough to allow me to remove the cables Job done I throughly recommend this Iron for those sort of tasks, I would not use it for PCB soldering of components etc, but for the task of soldering on to large heat sink areas it is great
