Bright and light
Very good light. It has a lot of modes, but remembers which one you're in when you turn off/on. Overdrive mode is great because it's simple to flick between very bright for unlit roads, and regularly bright for urban roads. Both those settings are fantastic, and compared with other lights, definitely seem to deliver the promised 1000 and 500 lumens. Flashing modes would be great for city driving too. I've given it only four stars (which might be a little harsh but fractions aren't allowed!) because of a couple of niggles. The USB cover is quite tight. Presumably this is to get the IPx7 waterproof rating, but who really needs that on a bike light? Second, and to a large extent this is a personal preference, but I just don't get the strap mount. It feels quite tough and durable, but they're never quite as easy to use especially on cold winter mornings as a fixed mount on the handlebars - ideally lights should be versatile enough to do either.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

No longer working correctly.
The item worked OK at first but does not work correctly now. I left it on one night inside my home, next morning it's was flashing dimly. I swiched it of and put it on charge but started blinking wile charging. And you cannot swich it off until you take out the USB. Now when your using it you can't get the different settings, only two.

Sums it up
Bought for my wife for daytime commute in traffic to warn dodgy motorists she is on the road. The light is sturdy and very bright. Did not like rubber band fixing it moved when using switch modes. Difficult to remove band ( which will break one day). which you have to do every time for charging. Purchased the proper Lezyne handlebar clip which makes things much easier and should, for the price, have been supplied initially with the package. Toggling between the "far to many different lighting modes" is a bit fiddly. Not tried in the rain as yet but should be OK by the look and build of the thing. There are cheaper ones about. Great value for a very bright rechargeable lamp with long battery life
Very robust lamp with metal case and ability to adjust the rubber fixing strap through 360 degrees, giving the option to fix on top or below the handlebars and also on top of the stem The lamp is quite long 105mm so unless you have a stem length 120mm+ it is unlikely to fit underneath the stem There are multiple different brightness settings from full 1000 lumens for 1.5 hrs, 500 lumens for 3 hrs (sufficient for night rides) 250 lumens for 5.5 hrs to day flash 1000 lumens which can last for 7.5 hrs. Considering that I upgraded from a Lezyne 300xl (300 lumen) which I thought great, the 1000xl offers a huge increase in brightness and run time options Recharging is simple with a micro USB cable as Garmin and many other devicesVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fantastic light

Great compact cycling light.
Really good quality light as Lezyne always are. This is lighter (in weight) than the more powerful 1600XXL model I also have, but it is obviously less bright and the battery life is less for the same light power.
