I bought this to replace a faulty switch on my 2003 MG ZT-T which was operating intermittently and often opened whilst driving. This switch was a perfect replacement, albeit, I needed to trim down the rubber seal a little bit with a sharp blade. This switch does not have the aluminium insert of the OE switch which is a big bonus as it is the corrosion of this insert seizing it onto the wiper spindle that stops it being the 10min job it could be. Removing the old switch requires destroying the old switch and spending close to an hour with a triangular needle file to cut into the insert through to the threaded spindle, then splitting it with a flat blade screwdriver and mallet. All in all, a good product to resolve a bad design flaw. Make sure you dismantle the spindle and clean grime off with fine emery paper, then lubricate with antiseize grease. Read full review

Bought this under 12 months ago and it’s already stopped working. I’ll admit it cheaper than an oem part but less than 12 months use!!!’ Started going wrong by self opening just as you got into the car and shut the drivers door, so it ended up as a race from unlocking the car to the boot glass opening to getting in the car and locking the doors. This was the only way to stop it popping open the rear glass. After a couple of weeks of this it packed up completely and now doesn’t work at all!!

Yes you can buy cheaper Chinese versions of this switch, but I'd rather use genuine knowing that it will fit and work without any headaches! Slightly modified version to the original as it now has a plastic sleeve instead of a metal one (so shouldn't grow onto the rear wiper spindle) Would recommend.

Genuine item. Well made. Arrived quickly. Expensive, for what is basically a plastic catch, but as cheap as I could find on the web. New part no longer has the internal metal collar, which is a good thing, as the old one had seized on my E91 and required a pair of mole grips to rotate the old catch off without damaging the tailgate glass.

Not an OEM part, but cost effective and works fine. Time will tell if the rubber seal that sits between the switch and the glass properly repels water. In all other respects it appears to be the same as the OEM part.
