When I ordered this scope, I thought it would be ok to just slip on a air rifle that's not used very often. I didn't really expect to much for the money I was paying. Well, for a start the scope arrived well before the notified date so that was a pleasent suprise. On opening the outer package, there was a good few layers of bubble wrap covering what looked to be a good quality cardboard box. Inside the box, the scope was in a polythene bag and protected with nice cut out foam supports. On removal, I was extremely surprised (and totally unexpected) to see that the scope was also fitted with what looked to be a decent pair of flip up lens covers. Also included was a lens cleaning cloth and what looks to be a generic user manual. The build quality of the scope was far better than I was expecting with what looks to be very nice glass. There was no battery included for the illuminated reticle (which I can understand) but nothing in the manual to say what type or rating was needed. However, on emailing the manufacturer, this was very soon answered with the required information. In operation, the turrets are nice and tight with no sloppiness and a nice audible click. The power ring and illumination setting ring are both a little to stiff for ease of use but hopefully will loosen up a bit with use. It was again unexpected, but very nice to see that there is also a (although more limited) green option on the illuminated reticle. It would have been nice to have had an off between each illuminated setting but for this kind of money I'm not going to complain. Just remember to make sure that you turn it all the way to off after use. For a first focal plane scope, I think this is an absolute bargain and well reccomended.
