Excellent value and quite capable for its size
Excellent value machine, very solid tool post and well aligned centres. I have turned steel, iron, aluminium and brass with great results. Minor points: paint on the back splash seems to come off (fixable), and there is backlash in the cross slide (fixable) but no complaints for the money, I would buy it again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good, cheap machine.
For a cheap, small, lathe it is powerful, can handle most jobs with a decent throw over the bed, a good distance between centres and a 22 mm bore to the headstock. Nice little machine
Have only tried a few test pieces yet, but everything seems to work fine. The only adjustment I had to make was to tighten the tailstock locking lever. I found the plastic change-gears very tight on their spindles, to the point where I was concerned that I might break them getting them on and off, but I managed it with care and patience. I guess they will ease off with use. I like the variable speed drive (much more convenient than having to move a belt on pulleys), though the powder supply produces a high-pitched whistle, which I find slightly annoying.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Reasonable value for the money.
