Over the last 30 years I have bought 17 Seiko automatics. They are reliable and can withstand abuse however off the shelf accuracy can be a bit hit or miss. Regulated they can be astonishingly accurate and are remarkable value for money. Similarly case build quality is excellent for the price. Styling I find a bit over fussy and garish and why oh why do they have to stick a date on everything? Specially in these days of smartphones. That said however I think they got the styling and quality on this model just right. I was going to buy a Tudor Black Bay which is very similar in style and size but at over 10 times the price now I'm glad I didn't. Oh and 1 last thing the movement gains 4 seconds a day which by any standard is excellent.
THIS IS A GREAT WATCH FOR EVERY DAY, EASY TO READ THE LIMINUS HANDS EASY TO READ IN THE DARK.
LOOKS SPORTY AND VERY WELL PRICED.
I LOVE THE OLD SCHOOL STYLE AS WELL, I HAVE IT WITH A VERY COMFORTABLE RUBBER DIVERS TYPE STRAP. YOU CAN CHANGE THIS TO A STEEL MESH 22MM STRAP WHICH REALLY CHANGES THE SPORTY LOOK INTO A EVENING SUIT STYLE MORE EXPENSIVE WATCH. THE PRICE AT £250 IS VERY COMPETATIVE .
SEIKO HAVE GOT IT RIGHT AGAIN & IS PART OF MY SEIKO COLLECTION.
OK so it's not an ISO certified diver like the SKX series that it shares it's physical design with. The true divers are still available from Seiko if you need that much performance from you wrist watch. However if you can find this one at around the £170 or less price point from an authorised dealer you will have a great value mechanical automatic watch with hand winding and hacking, vintage/modded looks and lume - I love the white chapter ring - comfortable to wear, reliable and a pleasure to own
Great watch with 27 variations. Can be customized using all SKX 007 aftermarket parts. On sale at many dealers. No need to pay retail. Bomb proof Seiko, as usual.
