Swedish fantasy drama based on the short story by John Ajvide Lindqvist. Tina (Eva Melander) works for the Swedish Customs Services, where she uses her unique ability to smell guilt and shame to apprehend criminals crossing the border. After she is recruited to use her special talent on a police investigation, Tina meets Vore (Eero Milonoff) a mysterious, similarly disfigured man who illuminates her life and forces her to question her past.

    Essential viewing for Fairytale enthusiasts

    Having seen this film on mainstream TV myself I wanted my partner to See it as it was right up her street. She hates foreign films with subtitles but found the film's storyline too engaging not to watch. There's a few twists to the tail and you have to think outside the box. Definitely Adults only viewing.

    Astonishing film.

    I watched this film with my wife and after about 15 minutes was wondering if we should finish it. However we continued and after the film ended we were glad we did. The Border is nothing like any other film I have ever watched and remains one of the best I have watched. In places it simply scrambles ones brain and makes one scream What??? At other times it is simply beautiful. I strongly recommend it to anyone except children. They would not understand it and at times it would frighten them.
