Downey plays a cynical reporter following the criminal case. Gyllenhaal plays a cartoonist working for the same paper as Downey. Well after the paper and police give up finding the Zodiac Killer, Gyllenhaal is obsessed by the case and discovers clues not noticed by the police before. This movie goes into who, what and why of this notorious killer. Shocking to say the least.
