I remember my older friends were all a bit dismissive of Paul McCartney‘s early post-Beatles work. The Paul & Linda thing fuelled the prejudice so, although I had heard song that I liked they, perhaps, didn’t work as well out of context or at least not well enough to overcome all the messages I was getting about this being an inferior McCartney album. Even up until quite recently I bought into these negative messages about the pre-Band on the Run McCartney albums. I had bought them on cheap CD versions a few years ago but I didn’t really give them a proper listen. It was only after I started listening to music on vinyl again, I had got all the Beatles albums on vinyl and was enjoying them, I had a second hand copy of Band on the Run and decided to listen to the CDs again and really liked them. Those albums that I was still reading dismissive criticism of were actually very good and Ram, I think, is very good. This vinyl version is brilliant and I do hope that Ram comes out of the shadows and is appreciated for what it always was, a brilliant, romantic, album.Read full review

Always loved this album and needed an upgrade, as I'd worn out my old copy. This is a brand new remaster and it sounds superb. My copy turned up promptly too, so very satisfied.
