Outstanding piece of work. Gary now includes his daughter Percia with her amazing voice who compliments the music perfectly. Gary has joined electronic music royalty with this album. The sound is full, layered, warm, bold, never harsh, enveloping through headphones but does not try to be clever it just is. Like an Aston Martin Gary has great presence and understates himself. This music will keep the folks that where around at the beginning like me and attract new fans if they get to hear it.

  • I'm waiting in the dark, waiting for a dark light, to show me the way. Savage indeed.

Gary moved to LA to position himself to be commissioned to write film scores. This is his 'demo' so to speak, based on a fictional book he has been writing about a post apocalyptic world. The songs have double meaning however, and can be seen as autobiographical beyond the imaginary story as reflections on his life and career. 'You're welcome to stand in my place...and you're welcome to sleep in my bed of thorns' ('Bed of Thorns') could easily be a reflection on the highs and lows of his past career. I'd really like to hope that Gay's fortunes are now firmly on the up, as he has his song writing mojo back. This album is truly excellent, with a fresh sound, more melodic vocals and deep and intense sentiment in every song. by the way, this is first album of his I have bought since his 'Exhibition' double CD of the 1980s. 6 stars actually.

  • As good as anything current

Bought this after stumbling across My Name is Ruin on YouTube. Never thought I'd buy a GN album but hard to ignore after the quality of that track. Good solid songs all round, Gary as a probable 60 something can easily cut it with any EDM & Electronica guys half his age. This slots in nicely with anything modern. Recommended.

What can I say I thought splinter was brilliant but this album tops it he just gets better and with his daughter Persia lending her vocals to the album gives it a new dimension I've even converted my wife she's a metal fanatic and she loves it Buy with confidence you won't regret it buy it turn the volume up and enjoy

  • Awsome

Great new album from Gary. Haven't heard anything as good as this for a long time. He has drifted away from the keyboards a bit and gone a bit more guitar orientated. Good change. 'My name is Ruin' is the stand out track. Can't find any bad tracks so far. I've only had it 4 days.

  • Glad to have rediscovered Gary Numan.

I liked GN back in his early days, but didn't buy any of his music, but catching a listen to "My name is ruin", I had to get this album & I'm glad I did, since when, I have purchased an earlier one.
