Almost there
I despair of constantly having to poke and prod at my smartphone to get music to play or listen to internet radio only to find it fails to play after all. Digital audio is a pain in the butox! Alexa is the first digital device I have owned which works at least as well as analogue music players and radios of old. Sometimes she fails to understand but, once she does, she appears to learn so just gets better with time. Not working as expected
I was only able to connect to this device once, afterwards it refused to connect and now I regret why I bought it after so much stress first from the delivery coming with a different set of charger than it was meant to afterwards I was sent a new charge, I powered it up it connected and it went off when I tried to power it up again I hard just the blue gradient going round when plugged in but never connected again to my device.Verified purchase: Yes

Extra Alexa
Love this little thing. I have it running into a little amp and speakers in the conservatory off the kitchen, and have combined it with the Alexa in the kitchen, and also combined the speakers for both areas, so either hear the commands and music plays in both areas. Speakers are little JBL Control 1’s and the amp is a little one bought off eBay and is on the floor behind the sofa.

This is my first move towards a smart home, and I'm impressed. Hears you from a long distance and the app will clearly be very useful once some more skills are added in the 'store'. Alexa listens to me most of the time. But sometimes she couldn't really hear me if I speak a bit soft. And there would definitely be a problem if there is music being played. I think it is better if Bluetooth speaker is used so the projection of sound from Alexa would not be coming near the mic hence you don't have to shout to it. Otherwise it is a great product. I have had an echo dot for months downstairs as an extension to my short term memory. It reminds me when to take drugs injections and hospital appointments.
