Easy to set up and use.
Easy to use with lots of features. Don't have to find a special place to put it, the ROKU fits just about anywhere. Took it out of the box and in a few minutes we were using it. Remote questionable, operation wonderful
Took some back and forth between the PC and TV to get set up, with Roku sending an access code to the PC which is necessary for the setup.Takes some time to input user name and password, as you need to hunt and peck each letter/number/symbol, and a misstep may mean beginning over. Once setup, works well with the exception (in our case) of the remote. The central enter button requires more than ordinary pressure to engage. Streaming made easy
The Roku Streaming player has to be seen to be appreciated. For those unfamiliar with these devices, these are small units that attach to your television via HDMI. You will need a high speed internet connection and you are pretty much ready to go. The device sets up easily-it will walk you through the process which takes only a couple of minutes. Then you can enter the world of internet streaming which will bring things like Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, YouTube and thousands of other internet "stations" right into your Television and on to the big screen in High Def. They are truly amazing little boxes. Size can fit in your hand and the remote is simple to use. For those looking to "cut the cable" a device like this is essential. Small and compact
I purchased the ROKU not knowing a lot about it. It came promptly and was easy to set up. The only problem I had was not realizing I was going to have to purchase an HD cable. Once that was acquired, it was a breeze to get it going. It was without instructions and I'm sure if I'd looked they were available on the web. It was somewhat user friendly and I was to navigate through it pretty well. I was a little confused when I went to view some of the movies / programs I wanted as I found very them very expensive. I realized I was searching under Fandango and not ROKU. Once I was shown how to do that I was able to get the channels I wanted at, for the most part, no cost. Not one of Roku's better devices
After having purchased quite a few other Roku devices, I came across this one at a bargain price and thought, why not? I was a bit dismayed when I received it concerning three matters. This device does not have an Ethernet port, it does not accept a micro SD card and it has an infrared remote instead of a point-anywhere remote. Perhaps the on-board memory will be sufficient, but I really wish I could connect it to my wired network. Considering how expensive an Ethernet port would have been to be included in the design, I am at a loss to understand why one was excluded. And once you get used to a point-anywhere remote, it is a bit of a hassle to use an infrared remote. I always have to remember to point the remote at the device instead of being lazy with the point-anywhere remote.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
