Material spec of the plastic housing is not as OEM part but seems OK after a months use. Stat spring had slight surface corrosion. Not sure if this was a storage issue

If you have coolant temperature issues on your BMW ,don't hesitate And buy a mahle main thermostat as cheeper aftermarket ones tend to break off the tabs due to brittle plastic. Well recomended
