I've used this Comma 15w/40 X FLOW mineral oil in my VW air-cooled camper van because it has a standard engine which has a gauze strainer, not a conventional filter, so mineral oil is required as it allows contaminates in the oil to pass into the gauze strainer. Modern oils keep contaminates 'suspended' so a conventional oil filter can clean the oil and collect the contaminates. IMO 15w/40 it's a good compromise between SAE 30 mono-grade ( a bit thin and 'old technology') mineral oil and 20w/50 mineral oil (a bit thick IMO for the UK climate). The oil in air cooled engines also acts as a coolant so it needs to travel through the oil cooler at an adequate rate to be cooled efficiently.
