As car hasn't covered a really high mileage yet (approx 48k)and money tight I bought just belt on its own without idler and pump etc, this saved a fair bit at only £18 Inc postage not fitted just yet but it looks a high quality item and have no doubt it will be fine until eventually I reach a higher milage and then I will buy complete kit, obviously if I find anything wrong with idler/pump bearings then I've messed up,I've heard these belts are guaranteed to 125k also these are called high tenacity and use Kevlar fibre reinforcement, that's what made me choose this brand and I've no reason not to have complete faith in Dayco, ive heard in some reviews that these are slightly more difficult to fit as they are more rigid and less flexible but I think that's a small price to pay if the product is stronger and longer lasting,I'm aware that most car manuals/manufacturers probably recommend changing the whole kit and I normally do but I don't do a lot of mileage and tend not to work my vechicles at high revs being far more concerned about mpg than what time the journey takes but if belt does fail (which I very much doubt)then it won't be Dayco's fault but mine but I'll be very thorough on examination of bearings etc so if in any doubt I'll change them along with belt although buying separately will obviously cost more in the long run but in this case couldn't resist bargain price of belt only
