Very good quality Kit
Good quality just a shame no instructions on high to fit the belt tensioner that does not have the bent tongue like the original makes you think that you have the wrong tensioner part, however the new tensioner design is very simple to fit and put the correct tension on the belt had to go on you tube to see how tensioner is fittedVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

GATES 1.6 TDI CAM BELT KIT WITH THE NEW TYPE TENSIONER
i bought this kit as gates is about the best on the market but gates have modified the belt tensioner so the tensioner doesn't have the we tab to hold it while you are pre tensioning the belt you have to try and hold it from moving while your tensioning it so I just had to go and but the original tensioner that's straight forward and the best. this is a gates modification and not VW so if your going to change your belt kit your better going for the original VW kit then you wont have any problems I would not recommend this kit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
