Dismantling the 15 year old UJ was much more of a problem than expected as all the bolts were rusted and easily rounded . After removing the shaft the old UJ had to be cut out as the cups were seized solid. After cleaning the new assembly simply slid into place the way you always hope for and so seldom experience. The only glitch was that one cup has a grease nipple (not shown in the photo) and this made it difficult to fit the retaining circlip on that cup. Luckily one of the old circlips was in good order, it was the type with small pinhole lugs and could be fitted with circlip pliers with the grease nipple in place. It might have been necessary to shorten the new circlip had this not been possible. After assembly a quick shot of grease from the grease gun and the prop shaft worked like new.
