Raspy and Nosiey and Dayco terrible C.S.
I have always used Gates, Continental and tried this as it was 50% neaper than them. This belt is clightly noisey and I replaced the water pump and tensioner thinking it may be them, but nope the tension bang on but just seems a bit noisey. I used a Dayco on my VW Golf and found the same thing. They are O.E on VW but I am not best pleased. I think Dayco are a decent brand but just a tad noisey! Really I only change belts every 3 years on an old ford as this is the recommended schedule even if you do not cover the miles and its easy to do. However on my VW I will not use Dayco. I contacted several times and Dayco and they did not want to know!
