Faultless reliability at a pocket friendly price
I use EBC brake pads in 3 current cars. EBC Ultimax in both people carriers and EBC Yellowstuff in the sports car. The Ultimax pads are perfect for replacing OEM pads in our daily cars. They stop well from both hot and cold and the brakes feel grippy in all conditions. They come with a red 'running in' compound applied to the top surface to help bed them in quickly. The pads fit perfectly in the Qashqai calipers and never rattle around. This is my 2nd set (after the Nissan pads) in 130,000 miles. My driving style is brisk with hard braking. They have worked faultlessly and I have never experienced brake fade. Disc wear is the same as the Nissan pads- minimal. At £27:00 they're an absolute steal. Good points: 1) A well made and reliable, quality product. 2) As good as OEM (manufacturers own) pads 3) Little dusting and minimal disc wear 4) The price belies the quality. 5) The front pads last me about 45,000 miles- amazing for a 2 ton car. (I don't give them an easy life!) Bad points: 1) They don't come with brake shims- so you have to reuse the original ones. (Same as all the competitors at this price bracket.)
