You have no other choice!
If you own a 1970s or 80s Audi /VW (or TVR!) fitted with the original heater valve then you have no other option than to buy this, as it's the only one still available that is a direct replacement. however , there are some quality control issues.. the first one I bought leaked as soon as it was connected , a second one has proved ok

The once was a heater control valve Doing its job without a fuss Then age crept in to its and it started to leak So it was removed and chucked in the bin The new arrival from eBay was fitted without a fuss Working smoothly and without any drips It will give good service, I'm sure And do its job wothout a fuss For many years contolling the heat Until one day it will start to leak Then it will get chucked in the bin And another will arrive from eBay
