A superb, well designed, good quality vacuum cleaner. Arrives well packaged and is extremely quick and simple to assemble. Lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Powered lift-away feature is very easy to use making many vacuuming chores effortless, particulary stairs and under furniture. Excellent suction and the dust container takes 2 seconds to empty. Some other great features are the longer cord, the brilliant led lights, the range of useful tools and, thankfully, the motor runs a lot quieter than any of my 7 preceding market leading vacuum cleaners. The Shark NV680 also outperforms them all. The Shark UK website is also worth a visit to register the 5 year guarantee, and it also offers a wide range of replacement parts and additional tools for all their products. Extra filters, and the caddy (helpful for lift-away mode when vacuuming above head height) are on my shopping list. Can't recommend the Shark NV680 highly enough.Read full review

Having had plenty of various different hoovers in the past, this by far has outshone all of them. It is fairly lightweight and has a smooth hoovering action and even smoother when the rollers are activated with a flick of a button. I like the fact that you can easily detach the hoover as required to get into the nooks and crannys. It also has a LED lights at the front of the head which is brilliant as it highlights all the fine dust on the floor especially if the lighting in your home is not the brightest. The attachments are very useful and pick up all pet hair with ease. The head also pivots from side to side to allow for smooth hoovering especially around tight corners. The only bad thing in my opinion is that the lead/cable is quite short. It is reasonably priced and comes with a 5 year guarantee. I got this shark cleaner to replace a dyson ball cleaner which is only 18months old. I cannot believe the difference between the two. The shark is lighter, easier to empty,perfect for cleaning the stairs, has a really long cord. i just plugged it into the hall socket and did all the stairs and the landing with problems. And the icing on the cake its cheaper than a dyson and has a 5 year warrenty.The LED lights on the front are a great plus also,helps when doing down the back of the settee etc. Assembly of it from the box was quite quick and easy, didn`t really need the instructions but they are quite good. All in all really good value for money, long term use well that will have to wait but it does seem quite sturdily built.

I have nothing but praise for this vacuum, it is as stated light, easy to use. No complicated instructions on how to take the dirt collector from the base for stair cleaning / hard to reach places.... so easy to use and carry about. I shall be sticking to shark from now onward, it has a very powerful suction which you can change by sliding the control so no more vacuum being hard to pull over carpets etc due to the force of suction. One flick of a button and you can go from carpet to hard flooring without having to stop the machine. Very easy to use and keep clean. Would recommend this

I now like vacuuming. The mobile tool has its own narrow suction tube and crevice tool, very good to get to those hard to reach places, as is the under appliance flattened tool which is larger. Why hybrid? This cleaner has multiple configurations; us it as an upright, or unclip the motor and hold that in your hand, whilst using it as an upright without the weight of the motor to push around. Stair case is easy to clean now I'm not struggling with a long suction tube. Suction is very powerful and half wattage of my old cylinder cleaner. The dust container is small, so needs emptying after each use, however, it is very easy to empty. I have not had the vacuum cleaner for long, but pleased with my purchase. Would highly recommend product.
