Decent quality
One thing I learn is buy good quality products, these are rigid and strong enough to use. The average backbox is a poor design, its a shallow box with some very rigid wires that you have to somehow connect to the socket, if the wires are too short then you cant connect them, if they are too long then they bunch up and force the socket out. None of my boxes seem to be correct. The best way is to screw the rigid wires in tight and then pull each one hard to ensure it is gripped as its easy to get two gripped and one loose. Best to push each one in as far as it will go before tightening. Then you have to push the socket onto the backbox whilst attaching the two screws, The good quality of the BG socket means it will not bend like some cheap ones do. Tip, avoid the makes with a plastic case and a clip on steel front, these just bend. Another tip if specifying a house build ensure they use 35mm minimum depth boxes. My wife had the bright idea of getting me to change all the sockets from white to these brushed steel ones, I have so far counted 20 to do and thats just downstairs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
