The old addage you get what you pay for is very true in this instance. The mild steel box does its job of securing small items. It also has a solid twisted small guage wire "chain" which you can attach to the box at one end and in my case to the anchor point in my car and loop it back.. It is not secure enough to store your precious valuables as the slot where the wire attaches to the inside of the box is its weak link. I would say it may deter an opportunist thief. Given a minute or less a determined thief could break this box in situ. The combo lock is a nice looking deterrant, but again the locks are just mild steel hooks. For me it does the job of keeping some loose change and my sat nav and my wheel locking nut master key. I would not trust it to secure anything more expensive than that.Read full review
