Had a slight leak (as in leaking half the expansion tank a week) on the water pump gasket AND the radiator on my VW Golf GTI and a bit sceptical if this stuff would work. Put it in as per instructions and had to give it a few days to circulate from the expansion tank into the system. Glad to say since putting it in I have not lost a drop of coolant. I would recommend it for small leaks and as a preventative additive.

I was losing about 200ml of coolant every 1000 miles. Not much but it wasn't an external leak and the oil was fine. So for peace of mind I put this in and coolant has remained at the same level since. I like that the product is colour neutral and I found the 150ml can enough for my coolant system. I checked the technical specs for this product on the Liqui Moly website and was reassured it doesn't contain any nasty surprises. This wont block your system and so can be used as a preventative. In saying that, if you have a large water leak then you will need a heavier duty sealant but even expensive head gasket sealers don't always work which is why a preventative solution is a good idea in an older car.
