Easier, safer, and gentler than traditional bleaching or boil washing, but works!
It appears to be Vanish. It appears to work like Vanish. I would, in fact, guess that it *is* Vanish. No seal on the packaging, but this appears to be the norm (did a little Googling for reassurance). It's more Vanish for your money than you'll find on a store shelf. Actually did the job: I put a couple of spoons of this in some warm water and soaked a pair of grimy old printed cushion covers (for an hour) that had already resisted the washing machine unchanged. They came out near new again! What should be white was now white, and the colours were vibrant once more. A quick wash with conditioner, and the material looks and feels great, not at all stressed or discoloured- this stuff is clearly far more gentle than bleaching methods. The print on these covers would not have survived bleaching or boiling, so I had all but given up on them ever being white again. Now to attack that drawer full of tired old T-shirts...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
