It is definitely quieter than my last hood but don’t be fooled it’s not really that quiet. My last hood was horrendous the amount of noise it made. It works well and I added to carbon filters to save having that bulky looking ducting running to a vent on an outside wall. Don’t get Bosch ones you can get cheaper if you look online, about half the price. One of my bulbs wasn’t working so I replaced them both with bright white ones which really light up the hob too. I did consider buying a hood type but now it’s fitted I’m really glad a stayed with the integrated one.

I think it's flimsy. The switches feel rubbish and the fan is like a jet engine, which you can hear throughout the entire house. The brackets are a bit crappy. I didn't bother with them, just fixed it into the cabinet at each side. Fan outlet doesn't fit the standard ducting. Save your money and buy an unbranded version, which will be no different to this item.

Replaced almost identical one that had had given up the ghost. even to the point that the screw holes matched. Draw back is that i had to buy the charcoal filters from another company. Hood is being used on recirculation and not direct ventilation.
