Solidly built 2 speed processor with sturdy glass bowl
I bought this as a replacement for a small processor. After several months of perfect use, the previous processor broke, (while in use, the plastic fitting where the motor connected to the lid and down to the spindle that worked the blades snapped). Because of this, I spent a lot of time researching an affordable replacement and am super pleased I settled on this one. The bowl is bigger and I really like that it is thick glass as my previous plastic one had a lot of scratches from the blade - which I guess ended up in my food as tiny particles? But this bowl is really sturdy, a very good size and has a silicone ring to sit in for extra stability on the counter top. I wanted at least a 400 Watt motor to enable easy chopping of harder veg/nuts and this has two power options with a noticeable difference in speed and results. Most importantly, the spindle connecting the blades to the motor is metal which I did not find on other processors around the same price point. I think this is useful to have and hopefully will prevent any similar issues to my last processor. It has been in use for about 10 days and so far I have blended soup, hummus, cake mixture and today coleslaw. It hacked through large chunks of carrots and white cabbage with no problems. If your mixture is a little dry, be aware it will send the ingredients round the sides of the bowl so you will need to stop and use a spatula to move your food back to the centre. This stops being a problem with a little water, oil, yoghurt added to blend - depending on what you are making, obviously. I also felt it chopped very evenly and didn't leave any bigger chunks of ingredients. Very easy to clean the bowl. The 4 blades have protective shields to protect fingers when not in use. The only downside I have found is minor and is with the protective plastic cover that you place onto the bowl before the motor part is slotted in. It has several grooves and ridges which make careful cleaning and drying very important and a little fiddly. I don't have a dishwasher so getting into the grooves by hand was fine. Making sure all moisture and any food particles are gone is obviously important with regard to possible bacteria hiding there but this is a minor flaw and sadly one which most processors/blenders have - too many nooks and crannies on the plastic parts. Other than this, I have to say I am super impressed and very happy with my purchase. It came well packaged and with a 2 year warranty and full instructions. Great compact blender
This blender was a great buy, it’s large but without being bulky. It’s large enough for me to do my recipes in (2 adults + baby).. but compact that it can be stored easily away without taking up much room. It’s easy to clean and I like that the blades come with blade protectors. The motor seem powerful to blitz through what I need it too as well. You do have to give the sides a scrape just to make sure everything is blended and you can’t blend a small amount of stuff cause it doesn’t blend it smooth. And it wouldn’t be suitable if you wanted to blend lots of something as I don’t think it would be big enough or the motor strong enough. Brilliant food processor
Honestly for the price I wasn’t expecting anything quite so powerful. It’s so affordable, yet does a fantastic job. I’ve made a whole bunch of things with it so far, a personal favourite being homemade salsa. It’s strong enough to chop raw carrots and other very hard vegetables. But I’ve even started using it to make mashed potatoes because the blades are so powerful even on the lowest setting that it can perfectly mash potatoes with no lumps.
