This mouse has a huge dpi range (all the way up to 12,000) and enough extra buttons to be able to macro well if you wanted without throwing 50 buttons at you all over the place. None of the buttons are easy to accidentally press, which is an issue that happens with a lot of gaming mice with extra programmable buttons. I love the optional weights that allow you to add a bit of heft to the mouse if you want to, and the feel of it is very comfortable. I can use the mouse for several hours in a row with no wrist or finger ache. The build quality is brilliant, as expected of Logitech, with the buttons having a 50 million click lifetime and the braided wire will last a very long time The optional software used for controlling the RGB lighting and setting your DPI and macro profiles is very user friendly and doesn't cause any lag whatsoever despite running in the background all the time your system is on. Overall a great mouse for a great price. Very impressed.Read full review

Very well built, unlike some plastic mouse items. Unlike some this is a good strong design, well constructed and has a nice feel about it. During high action games, this doesn't get sticky and retains sharp response to your movements. The added weights inside are a good feature which I personally like. It give the mouse, a good feel far better than the light ones around. There is a download app you can but on your PC, to allow you to change the LED lights on the mouse, and also the arrangement to configure your own keys to mouse ratio. The Kevlar coated feet are great on any surface,(The app has the option to configure surface differences). The centre mouse wheel has the option to make it have a smooth effect or ratchet effect while been spun. I found the smooth option "with out the clicking sound" to twitchy, or easy to move out of place, no good for action games involving sniper modes. The clicking sound is pretty quiet, but has a crisp feel to it. there is a button, mounted lower on left side of the mouse, this is meant to be" According to Logitech" a sniper button or Sharpe shooter button. I found this hard to use with my thumb, in conjunction with the normal top left and right button. Maybe its for a smaller hand,IMHO I would say have a wide span hand, but nothing abnormal :). Overall, strong, sturdy and a good example of part of the line in the LOGITECH family. best regards to ALL. Read full review

The Logitech G502 Proteus is very well designed and comfortable. The rubber sides ensure you won't loose your grip. The build quality is excellent as you would expect being made by Logitech as this is their standard and the software of both driver and utility is excellent. I have had no performance issues of any kind as yet and the device performs very well. The laser sensor tracks the surface of my table with ease and the 11 programmable buttons feel solid. This is an absolute beast of a gaming mouse for £45 and this value can not be beaten by any alternative. My only criticism is that the 1st button directly behind the scrolling wheel is used to release and re-apply the firmness to the action of the wheel allowing it to rotate without any resistance for a much smoother scrolling action which is pointless and completely un-necessary when this could have been another programmable button. But over all a very good mouse for the price.Read full review

The mouse is excellent. It is on the bigger side and sometimes it feels heavy. I never use the added weights as that would make it ridiculously too heavy. It is very stable and solid. Perfect for gaming but also work. My main recommendation when buying a mouse is to avoid online recommendations; go to an actual shop and try them out on your hand. I bought a couple of other mice and they were not perfect and as soon as went to a PC shop that had lots of mice, I tried them all and this mouse was almost a perfect fit to my palm. So there is no 'perfect' mouse - it depends on your hands. The scroll wheel is a bit big and heavy - not a massive fan. I went from the prodigy 203 which I thought was a bit small but sometimes I miss its lightweight and small factor.
