Not impressed.
It'll take nicks out of blades, but that's about it. It grinds uphill on one side of the blade and downhill on the other. Impossible to avoid a biased burr with that setup. There are no plattens behind the belt, and the belt can change its angle. Probably pretty good for lawnmower blades and such, but definitely not for your fine kitchen cutlery. Smaller than I expected . Sharpened all stake and kitchen knifes razor sharp in very little time ! Slow easy no force let machine do the work . Scissors or shears requires more precise effort the test to know you did a good job cut the thinnest slice of a peace of paper back to tip of sheers . Haven’t tried any thing large yet . Don't wait, but one today!!
I have always heard that belt sharpeners are the easiest and best way to sharpen knives, but I could never afford their price tag. I instead used all kinds of non- powered sharpeners, and only achieved medium results. Then I heard about Work Sharp knife sharpeners, and they have a price tag that I can afford.
