Wow - actually a bit impressed
Having used my 1960’s old Suffolk to death, I decided a new mower was in order. Having looked at loads, and realising I’m not that fussed on having a crown green bowls back garden, I chose this flat rotor. I did think it was very good value for a 17” blade 139cc petrol mower, but with a three year warranty it seemed like a good option. My conclusion is it’s really quite good. It starts no bother, the cuts good and it doesn’t break your back. Looks the part too. If you look at the downsides, it’s a tad slow going down the straight, so you gently plod along. Also, the drive arm on the handle easily pops out of its receiver housing. So you clip it back in. However; for £219 delivered, it’s a good product in a very competitive market.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very disappointed.
Lawnmower arrived. Assembly instructions followed. Started first time. Cut the grass perfectly, I was very impressed ... UNTIL .... I skimmed over a tree root of no more than 12 mm dia. And when I say skimmed over, I mean grazed the top of the root. The blade jammed and the engine cut out. Upon checking underneath for obstructions I restarted the mower over already cut grass. It was very quickly obvious that the blades were now not cutting true and level ... the spindle connecting the blades to the motor had become bent .... My previous mower had been over this root dozens of times with no effort... so I can only surmise that the build quality here is sadly suspect...... . I now have a mower which is totally broken after the very 1st operation !! Is this the worlds most expensive grass cutting experience ??Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good lawn mower in terms of size and price
The Hyundai HYM430SP arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. This a powerful mower for its size and price, and the self propel function makes it easy to push. Our garden is on a slope but this machine tackles the upward climb with ease. It is a lot quieter than expected. Gets the thumbs up from my father in law
I bought this to replace my father in laws old mower that had finally packed in. He's really pleased with it, they're are some maintenence requirements which makes it a bit more of a handful to look after but it rings smoothly, cuts great and its easy to use. Great bit of kit.
I was initially attracted by the price and hyundai do make lovely cars, so thought I'd give it a go. Very easy to assemble the handle, as the rest of it was complete out of the box and the instructions were clear. Started for the first time, out of the box, on the 3rd pull after priming. Then started 1st time for the rest of the use. I should have got a petrol mower years ago. This is self propelling, so I finished the garden in 10-15 minutes.
