Good overall sharpener and great value for money.
Grinding stones sharpens all knife types. I didn’t apply any pressure just allowed grinder to sharpen by running knifes through sections 2 or 3 times to get a good quality sharp edge. You have options for fine knife ans thicker blade sharpening - left and right sides of blade. So you need to ensure you pass knife over left and right stones for an even blade. (Sharpen left and right blade side) Overall easy and simple to use and good clean knife edges. Low motor noise overall. Ideal good value for money knife sharpener.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

At last a decent knife sharpener

It is a very well made good quality item. I've used it for various knives, scissirs, screwdrivers and even the big machete type thing I sometimes use in the garden and it works well on them all, (except my little penknife which is to small to fit in the slots). No more blunt scissors or knives!
I do a lot of card-making and cooking and I love to have sharp knives and sharp scissors, which is why I own several of each (I'm always buying new for that sharpness you get when they are brand new). This little gadget has stopped all that. The little suckers on the bottom holds it real steady and the power cord retracts back into the body at the press of a button for easier storage! Not as simple as the instructions make out...
Easy to use although I'm guessing I'll get better when I eventually work it out better. The instructions seem simple enough however the first knife I tried to sharpen got worse? So I tried to improvise a new method after examining where it first went wrong... the rest of my knives are now all sharp. Operating Instructions are inadequate
So fat it seems to be working well and sharpening my kitchen knives well. The instructions which come with it to explain how to sharpen are far from adequate so need to work out how the knife slots are used. You have to use both the slots on the left hand or the right hand pair of slots to sharpen both sides of the knife. SO far so good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
