Effective mud protection
Pleased to find that the REAR HUGGER would fit my plus sized bike, complete with 3" wide tyres. The inclusion of the two pieces of helicopter tape to protect the frame/paintwork was appreciated. In use the Hugger was effective, and really reduced the amount of gloop adorning my backpack! I would still consider adding an extension piece to the extreme end to stop the last of the flying mud, though this is probably a function of the low seat stays on my Levo rather than a design problem. Any body with low set rear suspension bearings or an exposed rear shock might want to consider additional shielding to protect those parts, I have used a FRONT HUGGER to achieve this. Expensive for what it is
I think they are great but expensive for a very simple plastic moulding hence 4*. They are a little fragile as well. I caught my leg on one getting off the bike and broke it quite easily. All of that said I've bought about 4 now for various bikes and it has literally saved my washing machine internals from being ground away with mud and keeps you warmer in winter by being less muddy. They really work although some mud will get past over the end so even on a 26 inch bike fit a 29er although of course get cost even more......Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fantastic mudguard that stays in place
Great mudguard. This is a sturdy mudguard that doesn't move around like those that fasten to your seat post. The other thing is that it moves with your rear wheel so never catches on it but is always in place to stop the mud covering your back. Also, it doesn't catch your leg when mounting/dismounting. Comes with cable ties and helicopter tape and takes about two minutes to fix in place. Really pleased with this.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mudhugger Rear 29er.
I have brought many different rear mudguards but this one beats them all. The guard is wide enough to stop all the mud/water reaching your back. It doesn't move off of the line over the rear wheel. Nicely made but my arse is still muddy?

Mud Hugger rear mudguard 29er
It’s a top quality mudguard & I’d strongly recommend it, to anyone!! I’m extremely impressed with it & definitely keeps your back mud free!! Unlike standard mudguards!! After fitting it to my new Trek Marlin 6 mountain bike & taking it out for the first time! My friend has a standard mountain bike rear mudguard & he still ended up with a broad mud splatter up his back!!! As my top was still nice & mud splatter free!
