Fits well - works - saved loads.
I bought this for a friends car where the previous owner had left a screw off the ballast causing it to not seal properly. Over time water got in corroding contacts and heat built up with the added resistance and melted the large connector provided here as well as the ballast connector. This product saved having to buy another headlamp and as such represents excellent value. The plugs fitted well. You will need to cut the existing wiring but make sure you know which lead is which as they look the same (I used a meter to check) and leave enough length to solder on the two flying leads as they are shorter than the original. It was very fiddly but still possible to get the old part out and the new one in on the Leon Mk2 we fitted it to without dismantling the lamp unit although we did unplug other connectors to make more space. It worked great but be aware that on the Leon as well as at least some other cars you may need to reset the controller by removing the fuse to it (or disconnecting the battery) for 5 to 10 minutes otherwise it may not work. Also the original was braided over the multi-core cable whereas this one was not although I am unaware of any adverse affects of this so far.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

LHS Xenon ballast went bust slightly after 8yrs. Bought a pair of there ballasts and replaced both of my Xenon ballasts. Tested the headlights and works very well, lights powering up instantly and seems a lil brighter.
