Decent for use on transitioning Afro hair
My hair is damaged straight from straighteners with about 2 inches of type 4b new growth. This tool does a good job smoothing my hair and I now use it in place of my straighteners. It does however get very, very hot. I used to use it maybe 4/5 times a week and my hair would split a lot. I now use it once a week and put my hair in a slick bun once it needs restyling.
