Excellent coffee but design flaws
Makes excellent coffee. The main design flaw is that it is almost impossible to pull out the drip tray (in order to empty it). There are knobs on either side of the tray which slot into holes in the body of the machine. Coupled with an inadequate handle, which you're supposed grip in order to pull out the tray, the knobs fit so tightly in the holes that you simply cannot pull out the tray. It won't budge. I had eventually to use a knife to remove it and was then able to loosen the holes, which are on flaps which can be eased back, so that now it's possible to remove the tray fairly easily.
The manual makes no mention of the fact that after 9 button presses the machine cuts out and can only be reactivated by pulling out (and emptying) the tray. A useful reminder perhaps, but you're left to work out the logic and the procedure for yourself.
It does make excellent coffee, but make sure that you run several pints of water through the machine from new. Otherwise, you get a disgusting taste. What with this and the drawer problem, I was close to returning it as faulty before working out the problems for myself.
